IMPD Southeast arrests and incidents for the week of 06.15.09

6/7/2009 7:30PM, 3205 Washington St. – Knife assault A female was found lying in the street stabbed in the stomach at the Walgreens parking lot . No known suspects at this time. If you have information please call Crime Stoppers. 6/5/2009 6:10 PM, 652 Dayton Ave. – Aggravated Assault A victim was reported to be stabbed in the neck. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim and obtained a description. They then searched the area and found the suspect, Christopher Ostack and he was arrested for the stabbing. [ad#single-post] 6/8/2009 3:30 AM, 3747 English Ave. – Armed Robbery The Village pantry was robbed Male who came in through the front door with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect was of unknown race wearing white, latex gloves, a black jacket with a hood and black pants. He was described as 5 foot high and fled East bound on foot from the store. 6/8/2009 11:00 Am, 5040 Southgreen Dr. – Domestic, shots fired James Rosetto was arrested after getting into an argument with his girlfriend and then fired shots outside their apartment. After a large response from Southeast Dist. Officers The building was surrounded and the suspect was talked into leaving the apartment and surrendering without further incident. No one was injured during the incident.

IMPD Southeast arrests and incidents for the week of 05.13.09

On 05-13-09 (0130 hours) at the Village Pantry on English Ave. A white male suspect came into the business and demanded all of the money in the till. He had a hood pulled over his face and he kept one hand under his hooded sweatshirt (acting as if he were armed). The suspect fled on foot. On 05-13-09 (1945 hours) at the Swifty Gas Station on Madison Ave. an armed black male suspect robbed the business. The suspect approached the counter, he pointed chrome colored handgun at her and demanded all of the money in the till. The suspect then fled the business on foot. On 05-16-09 (0300 hours) at the East Wind Bar on South East Street the victim was unlocking his bicycle from a utility pole when he was blindsided by an unknown person. Stolen from him was his bike lock and wallet with contents. We have no description on the suspect. On 05-17-09 (0319 hours) in the 2600 Larman Drive a home was broken into and a neighbor was arrested for burglary. When the victim returned home and found a female he knew (a neighbor) inside his home. The female suspect fled out the rear patio door and run back to her residence. The police were called to the scene, the female suspect refused to open the door, officers had to force entry into the apartment. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary.

IMPD Southeast arrests and incidents for the week of 05.06.09

The weekly report from the IMPD Southeast District with highlighted arrests and noteworthy incidents from our district.
5/13/2009, at approximately 11:56AM , IMPD officers were dispatched to 5445 Boggs Creek Ct, apartment ‘C’, to check the welfare of the woman who lives there. The woman's sister had been trying to reach her and had been unable to do so.  Officers arrived shortly after medics had arrived. The fire department had forced entry and found two dead bodies in a back bedroom.  The woman, a 21 year old, identified as Caitlin Walter appeared to have been shot by the 28 year old man, who then turned the gun on himself. The man was identified as Matthew Ford.  They had been involved in a relationship before but the woman had broken it off. 5/12/2009 5:40 PM, 4170 Bowman Ave. – Strong Arm Robbery – The victim stated she was driving home from the grocery store when she noticed a white vehicle following her. As she pulled into her garage a black female approached her and asked directions and if she could write them down for her. As the victim got her purse the suspect snatched it from her hands and left in the vehicle. The suspect was described as being around 35 years of age, 5’7” 200lbs. She was driving a white car. After further investigation IMPD now believes that there are 4 black females working together who are targeting elderly citizens. 5/11/2009 2:05 AM, 5959 S. Arlington Ave. – Attempted Robbery – A white female attempted to hold up the Speedway gas station but was unsuccessful. The suspect originally came into the store and banged on the counter to get the clerks attention. Once the clerk walked over the suspect pulled a small pair of scissors and demanded the cash from the drawer. The clerk told the suspect she would have to leave. The suspect then repeated her threat to the store clerk, but again the store clerk told her she would have to leave. The suspect then left and was last seen running Northbound from the store. She was described as being around 30 years old, 5’8”, 180 lbs. with blue eves. She was wearing a white shirt with pockets, blue jean Capri pants and had gold earrings. 5/07/200 3:30 PM, 8233 Twin Rivers Dr. – Stalking – A White male has been seen stalking in the 8200 block of Twin Rivers Dr. on at least 2 occasions. The complainant saw the suspect walking around one day and yelled at him from a second floor window asking him what he was up to. The suspect replied that he was watching her. The suspect appears to be in his late teens and wears a dark zip up hoodie pulled over his head along with gray and white tennis shoes.
