YMCA offers fall break camps

The Baxter YMCA is offering two days of “School’s Out” Camp over Fall Break. Planned activities include guest speakers, swimming, playing, cooking, and creating. Please remember to pack a lunch, two snacks, drinks for the day, swim suit, towel and a life jacket if needed. Camp at the Baxter YMCA, 7900 S. Shelby St., run from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. In Franklin Township, the hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $31 per day for facility members, $36 per day for program members. Call the Before and After School Program Office at 887-8788 for more information.

As I was looking out at my garden recently, I began to imagine what it would look like in just a few short months when snow covered the landscape.
It was a little hard to visualize since everything right now is so thick and green.
