About immunity

Published October 30th, 2008

Look to your health; and if you have it, praise God, and value it next to a good conscience; for health is the second blessing that we mortals are capable of; a blessing that money cannot buy.”

Every doctor learned in medical school about Dr. Otto Warburg’s profound discovery. In the ‘30s he discovered the key biochemical cause of cancer, or what differentiates a cancer cell from a normal, healthy cell. Warburg garnered the Nobel Prize for his unheeded scientific discovery. Hm?

Tia Today: It’s all in your head

Published October 23rd, 2008

Have you heard the phrase, “It’s all in your head”? Decades of research has shown that what we think about and spend time imagining can shift our perception of reality.

Years ago, my five-year-old nephew used to play all the roster spots on his imaginary baseball team. The ball, bat and glove were real as Sam’s father would pitch and field the ball. Sam’s role was to play every batter.

Toss out those boxes and prepare it from scratch

Published October 16th, 2008

As the cost of food skyrockets, cooking from scratch at home appears to be a viable future.

Cooking is a groovy way to nurture the people we care for. I recollect when I was blue or needed energy for play, my doting Mom would tell me all I needed was a warm, home-cooked meal.
