12-1 Trojans Move on to Semi State!
Center Grove captured the state football regional last Friday with a crushing win over Castle. The Trojan offence put up 49 points while allowing just 7 in a drubbing of Castle High School. Center Grove will move one step closer to a state title in 5A this Friday when they face a Ben Davis squad sporting a 10-3 for ’08. This week, Ben Davis will be a formidable challenge for the Trojan defense. The Giants scored 45 points last week and they will look to their offensive stars to keep up with the Center Grove scoring machine. The team that performs best on defense will emerge from this battle to vie for the 5A title on Thanksgiving weekend.
The home-field advantage will also be a decisive factor in the Trojans favor. Kick off is set for 7 p.m. Friday at Center Grove High School.
