Southside Preps for the week of 10.30.08
Our Southside Prep for this week features fifteen Franklin College Grizzlies all from the Southside. Franklin’s ’08 squad is almost one-quarter Southside alums; this may be a key reason for their 6-1 record. The Grizzlies will face Rose-Hulman this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Franklin College hopes to engineer another victory against a state and conference rival and continue working towards a championship. A loss to Rose-Hulman would end their conference championship hopes. Coach Leonard’s team is prepared for the task and a victory with just one game remaining would place Franklin College at the top of the conference and in the driver’s seat for the title. The “Southside Grizzles” will be instrumental on both sides of the ball on Saturday; they include Scott Martin-Senior DB (Center Grove), Matt Cox-Sophomore SE (Center Grove), Nick Monga- Freshman DB (Center Grove), Craig Wilson-Sophomore LB (Center Grove), Logan Deffner-Senior (Center Grove), Zane Schroeder-Sophomore DB (Center Grove), Jon Miller-Freshman RB (Perry Meridian), Mark Evans-Senior OL (Roncalli), Kevin Slemensek- Freshman LB (Franklin Central), Will Spencer-Junior OL (Center Grove), Spencer Stonerock-Freshman LB (Beech Grove), Evan Taylor-Freshman OL (Greenwood), Terrence Delaney-Sophomore SE (Roncalli), Matt Roehrig-Freshman DL (Greenwood).
