BG Library honors soldiers with Heroes Tree

The Beech Grove Public Library is participating in a program to honor Indiana’s Veterans. The project, Our Heroes’ Tree, is sponsored by the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University.

Beginning in October, people can make handmade tree ornaments honoring a loved one who is currently serving in the Armed Forces or has served in years past. The honoree can be living or deceased. These ornaments will be hung on a special tree for everyone to view at the library.

The library will also be collecting stories about our service members from now until Nov. 7 to be on display next to the tree.
