Roger “Big Rog” Clark, Sr., 45, Indianapolis, died Dec. 11, 2012. He was born on Sept. 18, 1967 in Indianapolis to the late Ronnie and Cardella Rogers Clark. He worked in construction for many years.  He is survived by his wife, Michelle Strader Clark; children, Christopher, Amber, Roger Dale, Jr. and Justin Clark; granddaughters, Jayden and Jordyn Clark; and grandmother, Beulah Rogers.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Clark.  Funeral services were held Dec. 15 at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, with the burial in Floral Park.

 

 

Mary Ann Fox, 75, Indianapolis, died Dec. 15, 2012.  She was born on Aug. 25, 1937 in Tazewell County, Va. to the late James Wade and Evelyn Sarten Shrader. She is survived by her children, Erik Fox (Rene Hatcher) and Tina Kropp (Michael); brother, Rocky Scott; sister, Judy Lovings; and grandson, Steven Kropp.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Fox; and brothers, Carl and Charles Shrader.  A graveside service was held Dec. 18 in Concordia Cemetery.  Arrangements and care entrusted to Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services.

 

 

Earl Glen “Johnny” Hafley, 56, died Dec. 12, 2012. He was born Sept. 14, 1956 in Danville, Ky., to the late Jessie Lee and Anna Elizabeth (Wheeler) Hafley. He was a self-employed handyman. Survivors include his daughter, Carrie Hafley, of Lexington, Ky.; step-son, Donnie Duball; brothers, Robert Hafley, Jessie Leon Hafley, Dallas Eugene Hafley, Jerry Hafley, Darrell Hafley, Walter Wayne Hafley, Danny Ray Hafley and adopted brother, Jimmie Allen of Liberty, Ky.; half-sisters, Lucy Messe and Jewel Williams of Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and fiancé, Rosemary Clark. Services were held Dec. 16 at Fountain Square Mortuary.

 

 

Bertie Lee (Eversole) McClure, 91, Brownsburg, died Dec. 11, 2012.  She was born on July 21, 1921 to the late Joseph and Sallie Ann (Gill) Eversole. She is survived by her children, Jimmy (Becky) Settles, Billy Ray (Carolyn) Settles, Patricia Ann (McClure) Smith and husband, Thomas, Barbara Lynn (McClure) Clark and husband, Joseph; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Elzy McClure; six brothers and three sisters. A funeral service was held Dec. 15 at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, with the burial in The Gardens at Olive Branch.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N. Payne Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46268.

 

 

Charles R. McKinley, 31, Indianapolis, died Dec. 13, 2012.  He was born on Nov. 17, 1981 in Hollywood, Fl., to Glenn and Kristin A. McKinley.  He was a year 2000 graduate of Sheridan High School. He is survived by his parents; brothers, Brian and Doug Abbett, and Scott McKinley; and grandmother, Harriet Evans of Sebring, Fla. A funeral service was held Dec. 18 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, with the burial in Washington Park East Cemetery.

 

 

Melba Maxine Lewis of Stilesville, 90, died Dec. 10, 2012.  She was born April 29, 1922 in Morgan County to the late Orbra and Esther (Smith) Lambert. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Lewis; brothers, Roland and Dennis Lambert; and grandson, Gary Hillers. She is survived by one son, Marshall (Pam) Lewis of Stilesville; one daughter, Nancy (Bill) Hillers of Tyler, Texas; sisters, Muril Sims and Marjorie Sargent; two grandsons, Allen (Kim) Hillers of Houston, Texas and Paul Hillers of Dallas, Texas; and two grandchildren. Memorial Services will be at 4 p.m. on Dec. 29 at the Greencastle Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 104 N. 10th Street, with visitation from 2 p.m. until time of services. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Southport Chapel.

 

 

 

Phil K. Stowers, 74, Indianapolis, died Dec. 12, 2012. He was born on July 28, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Ernest and Ethel Stowers. He was raised in Sheridan, Ind. and was a 50 year member of the Sheridan Masonic Lodge #309 F&AM. He worked for Chrysler Automotive in Kokomo, Ind. for 43 years retiring in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Marta Brown Stotts Stowers; daughters, Teresa (Ronnie) Walker, and Tammy (Gary “Woody”) Woodruff; son, Jeff (Shelli) Stowers; step-daughters, Debbie (Darrell) Dick, and Sherri Gehring; step-son, Tim (Gina) Stotts; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Don Stowers and cousin, Nancy Stowers-Munson. Funeral services were held Dec. 15 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, with the burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Daleville, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or Community Healthcare Hospice.

 

 

 

Bonnie Marcella Sullivan, 71, Indianapolis, died Dec. 13, 2012. She was a member of the Sanctuary Church of Beech Grove, where she was baptized this fall. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Danz, and baby son, Ronald Lee. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Herman Sullivan; mother, Syble Danz; daughter, Carol Enstrom; sisters, Linda Milam, Kathy Smith, and Julie Danz; brothers, Frank, Richard, and Danny Danz; grandchildren, Amber and Travis Bollman; and great-grandchildren, Braylon and Memphis Bollman. Funeral services were held Dec. 18 at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, with the burial in Concordia Cemetery.

 

 

Aaron Bradley Woollen, 35, Indianapolis, died Dec. 9, 2012.   He was born on Feb. 17, 1977 to Emily L. Jinks Woollen and Taylor Woollen in Beech Grove.  He worked at Handi Capable Hands and attended Southport Prysbeterian Church Adult Daycare. He participated in the Special Olympics. He is survived by his mother, Emily L. Woollen; father, Taylor Woollen (Margi); sisters, Jessica Owens (Christopher) and Sarah Reed (Christopher); maternal grandmother, Cecila A. Jinks; paternal grandfather, William Woollen; aunts/uncles, Cathy, Ronnie, Mary, Nancy, Robert, Tina, Billy and Debbie; nephews, Rylan, Ethan and Aiden Reed; and cousins, A.J. Angie, Jenny, Elizabeth, Frank, Robbie, Anthony, Chauncy, Christian, Justin, Jacob, Ashley and Bill.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald L. Jinks; and paternal grandmother, Bonnie Woollen.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 14 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Beech Grove, with the burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements and care entrusted Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Service.
