Registration open for Southport High School will be holding its 10th Annual Riley Dance Marathon on April 10. This fundraiser will take place from 2 – 8 p.m., with registration beginning at 1 p.m. in the Southport High School Fieldhouse. Funds raised will benefit Riley Children’s Hospital.
“Our theme this year is ‘Raise the Roof for Riley: Be a Hero’,” explains Dance Marathon co-president Emilie Robbins. “We hope to make this year better than last, beating last year’s record of over $23,000.”
“If you’ve never been to a dance marathon, it is definitely an experience you shouldn’t miss,” says co-sponsor Mrs. Jorie Oskay. “It is amazing to watch a group of students come together to give of themselves for children and families they’ve never met.”
Participants are asked to raise at least $30 and will receive a t-shirt and dinner donated by local restaurants. A dancer registration packet must be completed ahead of time. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent signature.
For more information, or to obtain a registration packet, contact Joseph Leonard or Jorie Oskay at (317) 789-4895 or e-mail joskay@msdpt.k12.in.us.
