Obituaries for the week of 03.12.09

Donna Sue (Hasson) Cornett, 52, of Danville, died March 2, 2009. She was born on September 13, 1956, in Indianapolis to Donald L. Hasson, Sr. and Margaret (Snyder) Hasson who preceded her in death. Survivors include husband, Danny R. Cornett, Sr. sons, Danny R. (Deniser) Cornett, Jr., Cory D. and Jason L. Cornett; sister,  Marcia A. Hendrix; brothers,  Donald L. Hasson, Jr., Bobby D. Hasson, Sr, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Calling was held at Fountain Square Mortuary on March 5. Burial services were held at Salt Creek Township Cemetery, Bloomington.

Dale Lee Gray, Sr., 41, Indianapolis, died March 1, 2009. He was born May 29, 1967, in Manchester, Ky., to Charles R. & Martha (Henson) Gray who preceded him in death. His Survivors include wife,  Peggy Sue (Key) Gray sons: Dale Lee Gray, Jr., Corey and Brandon Gray, brothers, Wayne, Oscar, Hershel and Russel Gray, sister Beverly Robinette. Burial was held March 5 at New Crown Cemetery.

Mahlon W. “Bill” Wampner, 83, of Indianapolis, died March 4, 2009. He was born August 14, 1925 to the late Elmer and Gertrude (Hause) Wampner. He married Iona M. (Baldwin) Wampner on November 7, 1942, and she survives, along with his four sons and one daughter; Gerald W. (Cynthia) Wampner, David E. (Betty) Wampner, Kenneth E. (Judith) Wampner and Theresa L. (fiancé, Tim Morris) and the late Robert L. Wampner; three sisters, Inez Spilker, Opal Curry and Arlene Mazura; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his son Robert, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Adam Featherstone and two brothers, Ervin Wampner and Donald Wampner. Services were held March 7, 2009 in St. John Lutheran Church. Burial services were held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
