College-bound students’ hard work pays off

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) recognizes 15,000 finalists through high PSAT scores. Three seniors at Center Grove High School will use the recognition for college tuition. Katelyn Bird feels she may get a scholarship from NMSC to help with science ambitions at the University of Chicago. After named a Finalist, Bird and the other students had to fill out an application with a small essay.
