The city of Beech Grove was awarded nearly $1 million in a matching grant by the state of Indiana to begin development of a 4.2-mile greenway walking trail.
City officials plan to meet with an Indianapolis engineering firm to turn the plans into action, said Terry Dilk, president of the redevelopment commission.

What ever happened to the train that was going to run from Beech Grove to downtown Indianapolis. That too is a needed service.
