Expected council friction doesn

Beech Grove City Council met Monday evening, but nothing much happened.
The meeting took 30 minutes in the second floor council chambers of City Hall, Eighth and Main streets.
When a council member and the clerk-treasurer announced the past two weeks that they were bucking the Republican team to run as independent candidates, one would expect some heated verbage.
But nothing.
Fourth District Councilman Ingle Harris III, who surprised some by announcing that he is running for mayor, said that although no official business took place, the council would soon start the city budget process.

    OK, I now know that Ingle and Carpenter are bucking ther Republican Party. But why? I assume they disagree with the GOP. What is the nature of their disagreement. I haven’t read what their beef is. I would like them to explain, please.

    You should call or e-mail them and ask. It is aways better to go to the source. Possible they don’t feel Joe Wright has been fair and honest with them and the citizens of Beech Grove.

    What’s the difference? Elected officials don’t listen to the voters, regardless of party. Look at our school board. The make a difference team. The three new women, then Latrell and Skirvin. They just sit there, meeting after meeting, nodding there head to Rex Sager’s every comment. Perry Twp got rid of the superintendent the voters wanted. Beech Grove keeps the one we don’t!!!!!!!!

    Hey Ingle, I’ll vote for you if you promise to get rid of Rex!
