A new executive director is being sought for the Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
A search committee, headed by chamber board president Mike Blanchet, is reviewing more than 60 resumes at the chamber offices, 550 U.S. 31 South.
The salary is in the $40,000 to $50,000 range.

The Indiana Historical Society recently awarded Greenwood resident Betty Warren the Willard C. Heiss Family History/Genealogy Award.
The award is presented annually by the IHS to historians who have furthered the study of family history throughout their career. Warren, an IHS Genealogy Programs Advisory Committee member, began researching her own family

Evidentiary hearing on the possible firing of Perry Township Schools Supt. H. Douglas Williams will be conducted Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
Attorney Jon Bailey will conduct the hearing, which is not open to the public.
Board members will make their decision at the regular 6:30 p.m. meeting Monday, June 11.

A free medical clinic near Whiteland, serving the needs of the poor in Johnson County, needs more professional volunteers.
The Rev. Alice Gill Goshorn, archdeacon of St. Thomas Episcopal Church near U.S. 31 and Whiteland Road, recently made the appeal for more doctors, nurses and pharmacists to volunteer time to the clinic, located inside the 300-member St. Thomas Church.
Doctors donate part of a day or a whole day to the clinic, but more are needed, she said.
The Rev. Goshorn, a 1963 graduate of Franklin College, said the clinic is experiencing about 25 new patients a month. She estimated that about 16,000 people in Johnson County have no medical coverage.
